Events/Experiential Activities
Play fosters a rich heart
Our kindergarten offers a wide variety of experiential activities, including seasonal events, interactions with the local community, and nature experiences.
Through experiences of working together with peers and persevering to the end, students develop the ability to express themselves and cultivate motivation for future activities.
From nature experiences to community and U.S.-Japan exchanges, and parent-participation events, we connect each and every event to your child's significant growth.

A diverse international environment broadens your horizons.
Hosen Kindergarten, which has many children of foreign nationality, is an international exchange kindergarten where children can be exposed to various cultures and values through interaction with educational facilities on U.S. military bases.
Through interactions with diverse people, students feel closer to the world, learn about diversity, and cultivate a broad perspective that connects to the future.

International exchange activities
A global mindset that is naturally nurtured in everyday life.
Due to the characteristics of our local area, approximately 30% of our children have been of foreign nationality since our founding, and we conduct exchange childcare activities with childcare facilities (CDC) on U.S. military bases throughout the year.
Children who effortlessly overcome language barriers and quickly connect with others through play are all ambassadors of international friendship and goodwill.
Rather than through special programs, children naturally accept cultural differences as part of their daily school life, fostering a rich international perspective and a friendly spirit.
1. A letter of appreciation from the U.S. Army Japan Command.
For over 50 years, we have warmly welcomed children of U.S. citizenship and provided education that serves as a bridge between Japan and the United States. In recognition of this achievement, we received a letter of appreciation and a medal from the U.S. Army Japan Command.
This recognition of our long-standing efforts is a source of pride for our kindergarten.
2. A "Music Recital" with a diverse international flavor
For the music recital, everyone practices together for about a month—learning songs such as the kindergarten's anthem and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"—so that children can enjoy the event alongside their friends from other countries.
It is a special event unique to Hosen Kindergarten, where everyone comes together through song, transcending language barriers.

Learning beautiful posture and a caring heart through the tea ceremony.
We hold a "Tea Ceremony Class" in a Japanese-style room on the premises, where the chairman of the board provides direct instruction.
Children learn the correct posture for sitting in the seiza position, as well as polite greetings and thoughtfulness such as saying "please" and "thank you."
Upon graduation, the children receive a "special gift" from the head of the Urasenke school of tea ceremony.
I enjoy delicious Japanese sweets and tea while immersing myself in traditional Japanese culture.
